When I started Fran’s Fine Editing in 2008, I had been writing and editing for more than 30 years. During that time, I held a wide variety of jobs in all three business sectors: private, nonprofit and government. I’d written and edited hundreds of manuals, proposals, brochures, charts, graphs, scripts and research papers.
As a human resources professional, I had reviewed many resumes and helped people prepare their own. And I had done research using the Internet, libraries, personal interviews and other sources.
In 1992, I was honored to receive the Manuel Carballo Governor’s Award for Excellence in Public Service, presented annually to 10 people out of a total of 60,000 Massachusetts state employees.
And just for fun, for the past 15 years, I have done genealogical research on my own family’s history. It’s like solving a huge jigsaw puzzle when you are missing most of the pieces!
Since 2008, Fran’s Fine Editing has allowed me to do for all of you the work I love most: helping you to express yourselves effectively so that you can succeed. Here’s a glimpse at my own resume–please consider my experience when you decide where to go for help.
Thank you!
